Cleaning One Home
To Build Another
turning plastics from the world's most polluted oceans into homes
1) CLEAN THE OCEAN
The Caribbean and Maldives have been plagued with massive waste deposits, off their coasts, due to the poor inland recycling infrastructure. Each day the plastic accumulation increases faster than most other regions, directly affecting the vast marine ecosystems. These ecosystems include some of the most spectacular creatures on Earth, like the Whale Shark, Manta Ray, and Sea Turtle. Every day that passes without a solution, is one day closer to the irreparable destruction of some of the world's most beautiful destinations.
2) RECYCLE

TBlah blah he Ocean Home Foundation is dedicated to cleaning up the Caribbean and Maldive oceans over the next 5 years, while also providing fully recycled eco-housing for low-income families using the plastic waste gathered. Utilizing new technology, we are able to fully reuse any and all recycled ocean plastic to make building blocks for our eco-homes. Each eco-home will be entirely made of the ocean plastic sourced off the coasts of the Carribean and the Maldive islands.

SPECIAL OFFERS AS PER DONATIONS
1 cubic metre creates 50 blocks or we could say 1 cubic foot creates 2 blocks.
Donate a dollar to produce a block.
Just the plastic floating around the Caribbean would produce approx 2 million blocks

WHAT WE ARE DOING
Solving two problems with one solution - by turning plastic ocean pollution into affordable eco-housing
STEP 1 - PICKING UP THE PLASTIC
Using specially modified trawlers, we sweep the ocean for plastic pollutants, using a convey-belt system and eco-friendly low fuel trawling patterns.
STEP 3 - MAKING PLASTIC BLOCKS
Using state-of-the-art new technology, the plastics are heated, compressed, and formed. Our system is able to recycle and sterilize all 7 types of plastic — no sorting or pre-washing required.
STEP 2 - BEGINING THE RECYCLE PHASE
Once the load on the vessel is full, it is taken to a designated location where the plastic is loaded onto a truck and delivered to the blocking station. At this station, the plastic is prepared for its final form.

STEP 4 - CREATING THE ECO-HOMES
Our goal is to create both affordable Third-World housing and unique First-World housing, due to the strength and superior eco traits of sound and thermal insulation of the composite building materials. The Building blocks will be held together like Legos.

SIDE EFFECT - LOCAL ECONOMY BOOST

Not only does this process bring jobs and labor to the local region from the collection and processing but also from the building of the homes. In addition, clean oceans equal clean beaches and further insurance for both the local fishing and the tourism industries in these regions.

OUR PARTNERS
Ocean Home works alongside the Belize Whale Shark Foundation to better protect the beautiful, local species of the Indian and Atlantic Ocean. Our hope is to create a better home for the animals of the sea while also creating new eco-friendly housing for everyone. The Belize Whale Shark Foundation is committed to teaching people the importance and wonders of the sea and all that live in it, striving to be the figurehead in the world's ocean rejuvenation projects.

DONATE TODAY!
Every donation counts! Partner with us today and help the fight against ocean plastic waste. Your donations will go toward expenses to build, operate, and maintain recycling plants in locations across the world. Each day, volunteers will pick up thousands of pounds of ocean waste and bring it back to our recycling centers where the trash will then be manipulated into building blocks. Not only does your donation remove plastic from the ocean, but it also goes towards building houses for locals in those countries in need.

Together: we can make our world a better place!
